Conference, Networking, Competition
Through my club Social Innovative Thinking for Entrepreneurs (SITE), I co-organized the Emerging Entrepreneurs Initiative conference in collaboration with Brown University’s Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship. This event, which occurred in mid-October of 2019, connected 60+ high schoolers from five different New England boarding schools with professors, serial entrepreneurs, mentors, and college students engaged in entrepreneurship. We hosted workshops, student panels, and a pitch competition in front of a panel of judges. I personally led communications and coordinated the logistics for our guests that included the Head of the Samsung Ventures East Coast, renowned entrepreneurs, college student-entrepreneurs from Harvard and Brown, and high school entrepreneurs from Phillips Andover Academy, St. Paul’s School, and other nearby schools.
The conference and pitch competition was a huge success and I’m excited to run the program once more with the help of my newfound friends in neighboring boarding schools, colleges, and in the VC industry!
